DHAKA: Bhutan has expressed its keen intention of importing medicine from Bangladesh.
Bhutanese Ambassador to Bangladesh Aum Pema Choden on Wednesday met with Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim and expressed her country’s intention in this regard.
She also praised the advancement that Bangladesh achieved in the health sector and the quality of Bangladeshi medicine.
The diplomat also said that Bhutan wants to import medicine in G-to-G-system.
During the meeting, minister praised Bhutan’s role as first ever country that recognized Bangladesh as an independent state and said that the country would consider the matter.
They also pledged to strengthen the ties between the two South Asian countries.
