DHAKA: Country's stock market marked gain in its price indices on Thursday.

 The broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 38 points only to stand at 4,427 at the close on the last trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 66,020 with volume of transactions at Tk 3397 million.

Of the issues traded, 199 advanced, 74 declined and 26 remained unchanged.

GP topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 595 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were BEXIMCO, LAFSURCEML, SPCL, PADMAOIL, FARCHEM, OLYMPIC, SQURPHARMA, MPETROLEUM and ACI.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8381 by dropping over 60 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 93 gained, 75 declined and 40 remained unchanged.
