DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Monday.

The broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 46 points to stand at 4467 at the close on the third trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 118757 with transaction at Tk 5604 million. Of the issues traded, 179 advanced, 81 declined and 38 remained unchanged.

GP topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 468 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were BEXIMCO, SQURPHARMA, LAFSURCEML, PENINSULA, GOLDENSON, SPCL, ACI, MPETROLEUM and MJLBD.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8457 by gaining over 86 points.

Out of the issues traded, 110 gained, 77 declined and 23 remained unchanged.
