DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Wednesday.

The broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 12 points to stand at 4484 at the close on the fourth trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 1,24,574 with transaction at Tk 6518 million. Of the issues traded, 154 advanced, 93 declined and 49 remained unchanged.

MJLBD topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 761 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were GP, BEXIMCO, ACI, GOLDENSON, BDBUILDING, PENINSULA, SPCL, APOLOISPAT and SQURPHARMA.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8493 by gaining over 11 points.

Out of the issues traded, 117 gained, 84 declined and 29 remained unchanged.
