DHAKA: The authorities of Sonali Bank on Monday is going to file a case accusing 33 people including Hallmark Managing Director Tanvir Mahmud and former officials of Sonali bank (Rupashi Bangla branch) over loan scandal.
The case would be filed with the court of Joint District Judge-1 Justice Md Fajle Elahi Bhuiya around 12:00 pm.
Deputy General Manager (DGM) Md. Abul Hossain, on behalf of Sonali Bank Limited (SBL), will file the case and advocate Hosne Ara will move for the plaintiff in the case.
Lawyer of the bank Jahangir Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.
He said Hallmark loan scandal is the biggest incident of the country and the would-be-file case is the biggest case for due of Tk 755 crore.
The 33 defendants of the case include Max Spinning Mill, a sister concern of Hallmark Group, Hallmark MD Tanvir Mahmud, Chairman Jesmin Islam, former MD of SB Humayan Kabir, DMD Mainul Hossain, GM Mir Maidur Rahman, Nani Gopal.
Earlier, 15 money loan cases were filed against them.
