DHAKA: An exhibition of Meghalaya’s Horticulture and Handloom will be arranged at the Metro Hotel International in Sylhet on August 19.
The Government of Meghalaya and the National Skills Foundation of India in collaboration with High Commission of India, Dhaka is going to organize the expo.
About 20 producers of horticulture and handloom products from Meghalaya are expected to display in the expo.
The exhibition will bring together buyers of horticulture products such as hotels, supermarket chains, stores and the producers thereby minimizing costs for the consumers. Several buyers are expected to travel to Sylhet to attend the programme.
Ariful Haque Choudhury, the Mayor of Sylhet, Pankaj Saran, High Commissioner of India, Pochister Kharkongor, Meghalaya Government’s Principal Secretary on Agriculture and other senior officials from Bangladesh and India will attend the inaugural programme.
