DHAKA: Prime Bank is going to introduce a modern software named “Remit Fast” for the expatriates for transferring remittance in a easy and quick way.
Remittance transferring through the new software will begin on the first week of August on experimental basis, Prime Bank Managing Director M. Ehsanul Haque disclosed this at a press conference held at a city hotel Saturday.
“We’re going to introduce the highly developed software-- Remit Fast-- so that the remitted money can be sent to the recipients stay in the remote areas quickly with a secured and a trustworthy way,” Haque said.
“The new software will automatically record every transaction. Moreover, a Centralized Foreign Remittance Center has been set up in the main branch of the Bank in order to monitor remittance inflow and transaction. Besides, doubtful transactions would be identified through the software,” Haque went on.
The expatriates will not have to pay any extra charge to send remittance through the software, he added.
Head of IT Md. Iqbal Hossain explained various functions of the “Remit Fast” software.
Among others, Deputy Managing Director of Prime Bank M Reazul Karim and Senior Vice President Ferdousi Sultana were present on the occasion.
