Venom worth of TK 100-crore recovered

BENAPOLE, JESSORE: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered venom worth about one hundred crore taka from Amrakhali BGB check-post in Benapole.

BGB also held a man named Milon (35), son of Akbar Ali of Kakmari village of Benapole Port Thana.

BGB said that acting on tip-off they conducted an operation and stopped a private car 11:30pm on Friday and checked it. They found 12 pounds of venom and nabbed Milon.

They also seized the car and brought the detainees to Jessore.

According to Milon’s statement, the consignment of smuggled venom came from France to India. Then it crossed into Bangladesh and headed to Dhaka.

According to the BGB, the wroth of venom will be about TK 100-crore.

Jessore 26 battalion BGB commander Lt. Col. Jahangir Hossin confirmed the matter to banglanews.
