DHAKA: Gold in the local market is going to sell at Tk 47,180 a bhori as the prices of the precious metal fell in the international market.
Bangladesh Jewelers Samity (BJS) decided due to the downward trend in its international market price.
The price was reduced to BDT 1,225 per bhori (11.664 gram) for different types of gold in the domestic market.
The new price will be effective from Monday.
In a press release of BJS said that the newly fixed prices of different carats of gold are: per bhori of 22-carat gold Tk 47,180, 21-carat Tk 45,046, 18-carat Tk 38,656, and the traditional gold Tk 26,244.
But, the price of Silver will remain same.
