Bashundhara Group finances in road construction

FROM MADANGANJ (NARAYANGANJ): A road construction work was inaugurated in Bandar upazila of Narayangaj on Sunday morning with the finance of Bashundhara Group (BG).

Narayanganj City Corporation Councilor of Ward-19, Faisal Sagar inaugurated the construction work.

Primary cost of the 360-meter long and 4.38-meter wide road construction is estimated Tk 86 lakh. The road will be constructed by Roller-compacted Concrete (RCC) with drainage system.

A construction enterprise named M/S Ishak Mia and Samsuddin will complete both the works of road construction and drainage system.

Addressing the function, Councilor Faisal Sagar said, “Bashundhara Group works for people and country. By setting up the cement factory in Madanganj, Bashundhara Group has employed many people in this area.”

He further said the Bashundhara Group works for the well being of the people of the country.

Expressing home, he said, “The business conglomerate will continue their support upholding the spirit of corporate social responsibilities.”

Bashundhara Cement General Manager Mohsin Karim, as special guest, echoed Sagar’s speech saying that the group works for people and the country as well.

Earlier, the organization initiated some social works, including tree plant distribution in the area which will be continued.

As a part of BG’s social responsibilities, they are financing road construction, he said adding more, Bashundhara would continue this sort of development works.

Bashundhara Group cement factory plant In-Charge Engineer Laxman Kumar Dey, Additional Chief Engineer Sirajul Haque and City Corporation Councilor Rejwana Haque Sumi were among others present at the function.
