Dhaka: Malaysia, which is often called the Europe of Asia, where social security and economy are stable. The country is now a successes ground not only for the professionals but also for the businesspeople.
Many people are taking citizenships of Malaysia as living standard the country is nearly as equal as the European countries.
However, the expense is not much more than that of Bangladesh.
Malaysia is a country of mixed nations. Beside Malays, Chinese, and Indians, Bangladeshis have made their position across the country.
The Bangladeshis are not only the laborers there but also teachers in prominent universities and doctors in modern hospitals. They have also earned reputation as businesspeople.
Bangladeshis are running business with name and fame at Times Square, Plaza Low Yat, China Market and many other places.
Even Bangladeshis are dominating the business in Malaysian tourist cities of Penang and Malacca.
For the non-Malaysian citizens, these privileges can only be available when one can obtain Malaysia’s Category-1 Visa, the most prestigious visa for the expatriates.
Privileges of Category-1 Visa
This visa holders get the opportunities as same as the Malaysian citizens have. They are treated like a tax payer citizen.
They can take bank loan for buying car and home; can send their children to government schools.
Most of all, the visa holders can apply for the permanent residence (PR) within five to six years. In this case, one will get the PR easily, if they can manage to score 65 out of 100 points with the inclusion of bank and other statements.
How to obtain a Category-1 Visa
Visa process is very easy unless one either lacks of sufficient information or gets caught by the agents. Some consultancy firms are doing well on the matter.
Necessary documents
Dhaka-bases constancy firm Worldwide Migration Consultants Limited (WMCL) has long been providing service of Malaysia’s visa processing to the Bangladeshis including high-profile people, businesspeople, politicians and retired military and government officials.
WMLC chief consultant advocate Raju Ahmed told banglanews, necessary documents for applying Category-1 Visa include submission of bio-data with signature, photocopy of all educational certificates, work experiences, details of family members (spouse and children, if any).
Specially, it has to be kept in mind that person who completed the graduation can apply only. So, the certificate of graduation must be submitted, Raju added.
Raju said six copies of passport size photographs, copy of all pages of the national passport, character certificate by local commissioner are required for visa application.
Beside, a bank statement and a local utility or electricity bill will also be necessary, added the chief consultant.
Business Residence Visa
Advocate Raju said, license of a company is required for applying business residence visa.
The agent prepares the tax registration for the applicant to get the license. Local company has to take the licenses via the approved company from the government offices.
The agent also holds responsibility to bring the approval of lawyers and joint stock companies.
How much time is required?
Whole process can be complete within 30 to 40 days, if all documents remain prepared.
Malaysia immigration office calls the applicant through the agent.
On arrival at Malaysia, one is to visit the immigration at first and then they were given the visa within an hour.
Visa expense
A Category-1 Visa cost approximately Tk 5 lakh while a Business Residence Visa cost nearly Tk 7 lakh.
WMCL’s Raju said the possibility for cancellation of an application is very low, if all process is maintained properly.
Honesty is a big deal here, he added.
Good agents mainly work for the visa approval to the Bangladeshis as the agents have updated information related to Malaysian visa, added Raju.
