DHAKA: The amount of inflow of remittance in the first week of September was US $181 million.
State owned banks have brought $60.57 million, specialized banks brought $2.32 million and private banks brought $115.30 million remittance in the country.
Agrani Bank Ltd has brought $26.76 million which is the largest amount among the state owned banks whereas Islami Bank managed to bring $40.44 which is the largest amount among the private banks of the country.
Among the specialized banks, Bangladesh Krishi Bank brought has brought US $2.32 million remittance.
Foreign Exchange Policy Division of the central bank of the country made the disclosure to banglanews.
The Deputy-Director-General of Bangladesh Bank (BB) told banglanews that the amount of remittance in August was US $1160.60 million.
