US-BD executive roundtable held in NY

New York: US-Bangladesh Executive Round Table was held on September 23 with the business delegates of Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina who was attending UN General Assembly session. 

The roundtable, held at Board Conference Room of Holland & Knight, 31 West 52nd Street, New York, on-boarded the issues like foreign investment, trading and business opportunities in Bangladesh and USA.

Bangladesh GDP growth rate over six percent with a population over 158 Million. Bangladesh is an untapped opportunity that is now an influx of foreign domestic investors and global multinational companies, speakers said

US Representatives from the area of business interest that included Power and Energy, Solar and Renewable Energy, Ready Made Garments and Knit Composite, Banking, Capital Market, Insurance, Information Technology and Telecommunications, Health, Education, Hospitality, Textile, Jute and Jute goods took part in the round table discussion.

Members of business delegation visiting New York as part of Bangladesh Prime Minister Hon. Sheikh Hasina were also present.

Shahriar Alam, state minister for foreign affairs graced the occasion as chief guest while M Ziauddin, ambassador of Bangladesh to the USA and Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed, President, FBCCI (the apex body of Bangladesh business) were present.

Aziz Ahmad, Chairman, Joyce Moy, CEO of US-Bangladesh Partners and Savio Chan President, US China Partners and UTC Associates Team hosted the roundtable.
