DHAKA: The foreign direct investment (FDI) in Bangladesh in the first month of the current 2014-15 fiscal year stood at 123 million U.S. dollars, the central bank data showed.
According to statistics of the Bangladesh Bank (BB), FDI grew nearly 10.81 percent in July, the first month of the current 2014- 15 fiscal year (July 2014-June 2015) compared with the same period last fiscal year, reports the global post.
The BB data showed Wednesday that net FDI stood at 111 million US dollars in July of the last 2013-14 fiscal year (July 2013-June 2014).
Net FDI in Bangladesh stood at 1.55 billion U.S. dollars in the 2013-14 fiscal year. The figure was 1.726 billion U.S. dollars in the previous 2012-13 fiscal year from July to June, the BB data showed.
