DHAKA: After a two-day suspension, the private carrier United Airways resumed their operations through Dhaka-Saidpur flight on Saturday morning.
Airport armed police battalion (APBn) assistant superintendent of police Abdullah Alam banglanews that the Saidpur-bound flight of United Airways left Shahjalal International airport at 7:15am.
Internal and international routes counter of the airways, located at the airport, have remained open, said Abdulah Alam.
Earlier on Friday, in a press conference, the high officials of the airlines declared the matter at Uttara office in city after closed-door meeting between newly formed board and immediate past chairman Tasbirul Ahmed Choudhury.
Tasbirul, who had stepped down from the post over the conflict, also retook his charges as chairman and managing director.
United Airlines Chairman Mahtabur Rahman said that Chairman and Managing Director also Member of the Board to United Airways, Captain Tasbirul Ahmed Chowdhury resigned from his post due to some misunderstandings.
Captain Tasbirul Ahmed said that I was asked to resign from the post in board meeting but considering the condition of 1,100 staffs and 132,000 share holders I came back.
Meanwhile, Tasbirul Ahmed declared flight schedule of United Airlines.
Earlier, Chairman and Managing Director and Member of the Board to United Airways, an enlisted company to stock exchange, Captain Tasbirul Ahmed Choudhury resigned from his post on Tuesday.
Later, Mahtabur Rahman has been appointed as chairman and Shahinur Alam as MD.
On Wednesday, in a press conference, the flights operation of United Airways was declared shut down from Thursday.
In 2007, United Air started its domestic flights to Chittagong, Sylhet, Jessore, Cox’s Bazar, Rajshahi, Saidpur and Ishwardi.
On the international routes, it was operating to Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, Kathmandu, Kolkata, Jeddah, Bangkok, Muscat and Singapore routes.
