DHAKA: Investors witnessed sharp fall in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Monday.
The DSE broad index shed over 21 points to stand at 5,050 at the close on the second trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 179875 with transaction at Tk 9,026 million.
Of the issues traded, 87 advanced, 176 declined and 28 remained unchanged.
JAMUNAOIL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 475 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were SQURPHARMA, MJLBD, SAIFPOWER, PADMAOIL, BEXIMCO, TITASGAS, BXPHARMA, GP and MPETROLEUM.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 9459 by dropping over 66 points.
Out of the issues traded, 56 gained, 152 declined and 19 remained unchanged.
