DHAKA: Bangladesh Bank (BB) on Wednesday asked the commercial banks to keep their branches near readymade garments (RMG) factories to open on Saturday (October 4) to pay the workers.
The directive came from a circular signed by Deputy General Manager of the central banl Asim Kumar Majumder in the afternoon.
It asked the banks to open their branches near RMG factories in Dhaka, Savar, Ashulia, Narayanganj, Gazipur and Chittagong from 10:00am to 1:00pm.
