Stocks end higher Sunday

DHAKA: Country's stock market marked fall again in its price indices on Sunday.

The broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 96 points only to stand at 5334 at the close on the first trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 174786 with volume of transactions at Tk 9153 million.

Of the issues traded, 246 advanced, 47 declined and 12 remained unchanged.

SUMITPOWER topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 339 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were TITASGAS, GP, SQURPHARMA, DELTALIFE, KPCL, MJLBD, CITYBANK, NBL and PLFSL.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 9,995 by gaining over 213 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 173 gained, 52 declined and 10 remained unchanged.
