DHAKA: Bikroy.com, the largest market place in Bangladesh, appointed Mohammad Rashedul Haque Rana as director of Ad Sales from October 12, 2014.

Prior to joining Bikroy.com, Rana worked for the leading Bengali newspaper Daily Prothom Alo as a manager, advertisement for more than five years.

Rana has more than twelve years experience in sales. He is an expert in corporate selling, preparing and executing sales strategies and business development.

Prior to Prothom Alo, he also worked for Biswas Builders, Paradise Cables and Concord Ready-Mix & Concrete Products. Rana completed his MBA (Marketing) from Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Dhaka University in 1997.

Commenting on his appointment, Rana stated that, “It is indeed a great opportunity to work with Bikroy.com, which is already the largest marketplace in Bangladesh. It has changed the way of trade in Bangladesh. Now, people are more encouraged to re-use items through buying and selling second hand or unused items. I hope I will be able to extend my best efforts to ensure the greatest market experience to the visitors of the site.”

Bikroy.com was launched in June 2012 and in less than a year it became the Largest Market place in Bangladesh and it is the 6th largest local website in Bangladesh as per Alexa ranking.
