DHAKA: Investors witnessed sharp fall in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Wednesday.
The DSE broad index shed over 63 points to stand at 5170 at the close on the fourth trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 140268 with transaction at Tk 7225 million.
Of the issues traded, 76 advanced, 205 declined and 21 remained unchanged.
RSRMSTEEL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 418 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were KPCL, MJLBD, TITASGAS, SQURPHARMA, HEIDELBCEM, BXPHARMA, GP, BEXIMCO and GOLDENSON.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 9706 by dropping over 100 points.
Out of the issues traded, 52 gained, 160 declined and 16 remained unchanged.
