Stocks end lower Sunday

DHAKA: Country’s stock markets marked significant fall in its price indices on Sunday.

 The broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, shed over 42 points only to stand at 5111 at the close on the first trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 98488 with volume of transactions at Tk 5,294 million.

Of the issues traded, 82 advanced, 190 declined and 31 remained unchanged.

GP topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 295 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were TITASGAS, KPCL, MJLBD, SQURPHARMA, SUMITPOWER, ACIFORMULA, BEXIMCO, LAFSURCEML and JAMUNAOIL.

Chittagong stock exchange also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 9,614 by dropping over 62 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 46 gained, 160 declined and 13 remained unchanged.
