DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Monday.
The broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 45 points to stand at 5,157 at the close on the second trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 96,239 with transaction at Tk 5,050 million. Of the issues traded, 184 advanced, 86 declined and 33 remained unchanged.
GP topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 391 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were MJLBD, SQURPHARMA, BRACBANK, LAFSURCEML, KPCL, TITASGAS, JAMUNAOIL, BEXIMCO and SUMITPOWER.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 9,675 by gaining over 60 points.
Out of the issues traded, 96 gained, 94 declined and 29 remained unchanged.
