Bourses see fall Wednesday

DHAKA: Investors witnessed fall in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Wednesday.

The Dhaka Stock Exchange broad index shed over 19 points to stand at 5,109 at the close on the fourth trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 103,497with transaction at Tk 3,243 million.
   
 Of the issues traded, 169 advanced, 104 declined and 32 remained unchanged.

SPPCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 277 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were GP, KPCL, MJLBD, KPPL, SUMITPOWER, ACI, SQURPHARMA, OLYMPIC and TITASGAS.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 9,595 by dropping over 28 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 106 gained, 94 declined and 21 remained unchanged.
