ACC to sue 3 Pubali Bank officers

DHAKA: The Anti-Corruption Committee (ACC) decided to sue four people, including three Pubali Bank Limited officials, for embezzlement of Tk 10.25 lakh.

The decision came from a meeting at ACC Headquarters in city’s Segun Bagicha area on Wednesday.

ACC deputy director (public relations) Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told banglanews that the case would be filed against them soon.

The accused are ex-senior officer M Nurul Islam (presently working at Bangladesh Bank Begum Bazar Branch as principal officer), ex-principal officer M Ayub Nabi, ex-manager M Hasan Ali (retd) of Pubali Bank Chakbazar Branch and a resident of Mirpur North Pirbagh M Nasir Uddin.

According to sources, ACC deputy assistant director AKM Fazle Hossain, who investigated the matter, will file the case.
