DHAKA: Finance Minister AMA Muhith on Wednesday said Asian Development Bank (ADB) showed keen interest to increase their development programs in Bangladesh.
Muhith was talking to journalists after a meeting with ADB vice-president Wencai Zhang at his secretariat office.
The minister said that ADB wants to finance for the development in regional communications sector.
The India-Bangladesh power-line has been built with their cooperation, he added, the ADB also said to increase road communications in this region.
Regarding the disagreement on energy pact at ongoing SAAEC summit, Muhith commented that Bangladesh has already signed bilateral treaties with Nepal and Bhutan.
Any positive nod from India will push it forward, he added.
