DHAKA: Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry Thursday warned the Chairman of Biman Bangladesh Airlines Limited Air Marshal (retd) Jamal Uddin Ahmed for a second time within 15 days, as the tug-of-war in national flag carrier continued.
The ministry issued a letter signed by Joint-Secretary of the Ministry Aftab Uddin Talukder advising him to behave carefully as per the constitutional accountability on part of a public servant, as the chairman’s reply to a show-cause notice was rejected.
The letter stated that frequent news about the ‘imaginary distance’ between the minister and the secretary is totally unwanted.
"Such news has created an embarrassing situation for the ministry as well as the government," says the cautionary communication from the ministry.
The letter also said publication of such types of derogatory news about the ministry in future would be considered as a flagrant violation of the rules and regulations of the administration.

"The reply given by the Chairman following the first notice was not objective and rational. So it was not acceptable and satisfactory," the letter said.
Now the ministry issued second warning letter to him.
The ministry issued a warning notice against him on August 24 following news report quoting the chairman on August 18.
The Chairman replied to the notice last Sunday and blamed minister’s remarks for aggravating the situation and denied all sorts of allegation against him.
