DHAKA: A three-day exhibition on Bangladesh products, to be held at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) on Thursday, will showcase a variety of products of interest to Malaysian consumers.
The fair’s co-organiser and Chief Executive Officer of Elenga Hotels Datuk M Haider Uzzaman said that the exhibition, to be opened by former Malaysian Prime Minister Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, was being held in Kuala Lumpur due to increased demand for Bangladesh products and services.
“Malaysian markets have been long importing from Bangladesh, the most popular of these items will be garments, agricultural and plastic products,” he told Bernama today.
At present, Malaysia is one of Bangladesh’s leading trading partner, having imported about US$35 million worth of goods in the 2009-10 fiscal years.
