DHAKA: Country’s stock markets marked fall in its price indices on Sunday, the first day of trading of the week.
The key index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, shed over 41 points only to stand at 4,077 at the close on the first trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 83866 with volume of transactions at Tk 3,413 million.
Of the issues traded, 67 advanced, 200 declined and 21 remained unchanged.
GP topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 292 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were BSCCL, TALLUSPIN, RNSPIN, RENATA, PADMAOIL, SQURPHARMA, HEIDELBCEM, ACTIVEFINE and CVOPRL.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 7,927 by dropping over 100 points.
Out of the issues traded, 40 gained, 152 declined and 14 remained unchanged.
