DHAKA: The price of rawhide has been fixed between Tk 85 and 90 per square foot in Dhaka and Tk 80-85 outside the capital.

Bangladesh Hide and Skin Merchant Association, Bangladesh Tanners` Association (BTA) and Bangladesh Finished Leather, Leather Goods and Footwear Exporters Association (BFLLGFEA) fixed the price on Saturday.

The organizations also fixed the price goatskin between Tk 50 and Tk 55 and buffalo skin between 40 and 45.

BFLLGFEA organization chairman Hazi Belal Hossain came up with the disclosure while talking to journalists at its Dhanmondi office.

Meanwhile, BTA president Shahin Ahamed and Ali Hossain of Bangladesh Hide and Skin Merchant Association were present during the time.
