DHAKA: Investors witnessed negligible gain in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Monday amid 60-hour nationwide hartal.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 42 points to stand at 3,951 at the close on the second trading day of the week.
The volume of transactions stood Tk 3,686 million with 106,243 trade deals.
Of the issues traded, 132 advanced, 132 declined and 24 remained unchanged.
ENVOYTEX topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 323 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were, GENNEXT, UCBL, ARGONDENIM, DELTALIFE, NBL, ACTIVEFINE, RNSPIN, BEXIMCO and IFIC.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 7,760 by gaining over 83 points.
Out of the issues traded, 97 gained, 96 declined and 22 remained unchanged.
