The High Court today (Dec 4) ordered to provide online application for Monthly Pay Order (MPO) admission to 152 lecturers and employees working in various degree colleges of the country.
A high court division bench consisting of Justice Kashefa Hossain and Justice Kazi Zeenat Haque handed down the verdict this morning.
Advocate Mohammad Siddique Ullah Mia, lawyer of the petitioners told that, in the case of application for MPO admission, it has been stated in the footnote of Appendix 'Kha' of the 'Private Educational Institutions (Schools and Colleges) Manpower Structure and MPO Policy-2021', that for applying in the MPO admission, there should be minimum 2 departments for applying in graduate (pass) colleges.
Due to this condition, 152 degree college lecturers and employees across the country could not apply for MPO admission and filed a writ petition in the High Court asking for an opportunity to apply online.
The court gave its verdict today after the final hearing was completed.
