Rajshahi University (RU) students staged a demonstration confining Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Golam Sabbir Sattar on Sunday (Mar 12) morning.

They took position in front of the building around 10:30am, and confined the VC at 12:30pm protesting the attack on them by locals and police. They also chanted slogans inside the campus.

Around 10:45am, a section of students brought out a procession which marched different roads of the campus.

Later, students marched towards the RU vice-chancellor's residence and sit-in there.

According to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) sources, some 86 people were injured during Saturday's violence at Binodpur Gate of the campus.
