The admission test of Dhaka University (DU) for the academic session of 2022-23 has begun today. The test for the fine arts unit began at 11am and continued till 12:30pm on the first day.
Sources said the admission test of the DU will be held in four units, which have been restructured under the name of Undergraduate Program Admission Examination from this academic year, in Arts, Law and Social Science Unit, Science Unit, Business Education Unit and Fine Arts Unit.
The admission test for arts, law and social science units, May 12 for science units and May 13 for business education units will be held on May 6.
Prof Md Mostafizur Rahman, convenor of the university's online admission committee, said that two lakh 98 thousand 432 students have applied for admission to the undergraduate program in the academic year 2022-23 in four units.
For the third time, the examination will be held in Dhaka and seven divisional cities outside Dhaka. Dhaka division examination will be held in Dhaka University, Chittagong University in Chittagong Division, Rajshahi University in Rajshahi Division, Khulna University in Khulna Division, Shahjalal Science and Technology University in Sylhet Division, Begum Rokeya University in Rangpur Division, Barisal University in Barisal Division and Bangladesh Agricultural University in Mymensingh Division. Arts exam will be held only in Dhaka University.
