The Department of General Education (GED) of University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) and ULAB Library jointly organized two training sessions on Zotero: Citation and reference management tool and Turnitin: Similarity & plagiarism checker including Turnitin Draft Coach for the GED faculties. 

As part of complying with SDG goals, GED facilitated this training program which addressed the ‘SDG 4-Quality Education.’  The training program was held on Thursday, in the ULAB campus. 

The training sessions were conducted by the head of the ULAB Library, Joint Librarian Mr. KM Hasan Emam as an instructor. During sessions, Mr. Hasan pointed out the significant technical aspects of the use of Turnitin software and Zotero for citation. 

Faculties from different deferments and centres who teaches in General Education participated in the training. 

At the commencing of the training, the head of the Department of General Education (GED) Prof. Dr. Shahnaj Husne Jahan delivered a welcome speech. 

She stated the necessity of the training for the faculties and mentioned that to enhance the quality of education use of Turnitin and authentic citation software can play a true role. She also assures the faculties to provide necessary support regarding academic development in terms of arranging training, seminars or research works.
