Two students of Jahangirnagar University (JU) were reputedly victims of robbing inside the campus premises on Thursday (June 8) evening.
The incident took place at the back of the campus's administrative building.
The victims were identified as Sumaya Ahmde Samia, a student of Geography and Environment Department of the University, and Israt Jahan Ira, a student of Law and Judiciary Department. Both were students of 47th batch.
According to Israt, "I and Samia went to 'Pakutola' back of the university's administrative building for clicking pictures. At that time, a man with knife (Chapati) stood front of us. Later, he robbed two mobile phones and wallets, which we were carrying with us."
Head of the university security department Sudipta Shahin confirming the matter to Banglanews said, "Our security team visited the incident scene. However, they failed to trace anyone."
"We noted down the description of the robber. Our security team is alert in this regard," he said.
