The government on Tuesday (June 20) decided Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations will no longer be held in the country.
The decision came from a meeting chaired by Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni at International Mother Language Institute auditorium in the capital.
President of Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordinating Committee and Chairman of Dhaka Education Board Chairman Professor Tapan Kumar Sarkar confirmed the matter.
He said the respective institutions will hold examinations and the academic institutions will issue class eight pass certificate.
However, before that registration process has to complete from the education board concerned as per the previous regulation, he added.
