The Department of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) issued show-cause notices to 34 teachers and staff who were absent from work.
DSHE found evidence of their unofficial absence during a visit in June.
A notification was issued in this regard from the Directorate on Sunday (July 23).
According to the notification, a report regarding the absence of teachers and staff was sent by the Monitoring and Evaluation Wing of the Directorate of Inspection through the Digital Monitoring System of the Directorate.
Those who were served the notice have been directed to appear in person at the respective district education office within the next 5 working days to explain the reasons for their unauthorized absences, the notification reads.
