2,354 schools see 100pc pass, none passes from 48 institutions

A total of 2,354 educational institutions across the country achieved a cent percent pass rate in Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations this year.

Besides, no students from 48 educational institutions passed the exams.

However, the number of institutions with 100% pass rate has dropped this year compared to that of the previous year. Last year, the number was 2,975.

This year, more than 20 lakh students took part in the SSC exams under 11 boards, including madrasa (Dakhil) and Technical Education.

A total 20, 72,153 students from 29,714 educational institutions took part in the exams of SSC, Dakhil and SSC (vocational).

Among 20, 72,153 students – 10,24,980 boys and 10,53,246 girls-- under the 11 education boards sat for the SSC and equivalent examinations-2023.

Besides, the results of this year overall pass percentage of 80.39.

This year's passing rate is 7.05% lower than last year, which was 87.44%.

A total of 1 lakh 83 thousand 578 people got GPA-5, according to published results.

The overall pass rates in different education boards of the country are: 77.50 percent in Dhaka, 90.1 percent in Barishal, 78.3 percent in Chattogram, 78.4 in Cumilla, 76.8 percent in Dinajpur, 86.2 percent in Jashore, 87.9 percent in Rajshahi, 76.1 percent in Sylhet, 85 percent in Mymensingh, 83.4 percent under the technical education board, and 74.7 percent under the madrasa board. 

The results were handed over to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at 9:00am by Education Minister Dipu Moni.
