The pass rate of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent exams in the Barishal Education Board has increased with 90.18 percent students coming out successful this year.

This year’s overall pass rate in this board is 0.57 percent more compared to the success rate in the last year.

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni said this at a press conference at the International Mother Language Institute at Segunbagicha in the city this morning.

The average pass rate of the SSC and equivalent exams of all boards, including madrasah and technical education board, for 2023 is 80.39 percent.

The average pass rate of SSC exams separately in nine general education boards is 80.94 percent.

Of the pass rates, 77.55 percent is in Dhaka, 90.18 percent in Barishal, 78.29 percent in Chattogram, 78.42 in Cumilla, 76.87 percent in Dinajpur, 86.17 percent in Jashore, 87.89 percent in Rajshahi, 76.06 percent in Sylhet, 85.49 percent in Mymensingh, 86.35 percent under the technical education board, and 74.70 percent under the madrasa board.
