Education Minister Dipu Moni expressed her hope that the next SSC and equivalent exams will be held in the first week of February 2024, while the HSC and equivalent exams will be held in April.
She said: "We will try to hold SSC exams in April next year... It depends on many things...there will be an attempt to conduct the HSC and equivalent exams in April."
He was talking to the reporters while visiting the Tejgaon College center at Farmgate in the capital on Thursday (August 17), the day of the commencement of this year's HSC examinations.
She also said the results of this year's HSC examinations will be published together, though Chittagong, Madrasa and Technical Education Boards will start 10 days later.
She said "HSC exams were scheduled to begin across the country on August 17. But due to natural disaster, the three boards' exams will begin from August 28. But the results of all boards will be published within 60 days."
When asked about rumours of question paper-leak, the education minister said, "I hope there will be no new problems this time. Preventive measures have been taken to prevent the old problem from reoccurring. Hope no untoward incident happens. Everyone should be careful. There is no leakage of questions for the last five years. Rumors have also come down. I hope it won't be this time either."
