DHAKA: The results of Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations were published Sunday with average pass rates-89.94 and 91.11 percents—respectively.
A total of 16,75,109 students have passed in the examinations.
Of the results, 87.93 percent students were passed in Dhaka board, 90.45 percent in Comilla board, 91.15 percent in Sylhet board, 96.60 in Barishal board, 86.13 in Chittagong board, 88.91 in Dinajpur board, 93.88 in Rajshahi board and 89:00 percent in Jessore board.
As like previous years, female students are leading the results this year too.
This year, 1, 72, 208 students got GPA-5. Of them, 55, 223 students secured GPA -5 in Dhaka board and 20,523 students in Rajshahi board.
Concerned officials, on behalf of chairmen of Education Boards, handed over the copies of the result sheets to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina around 10:00am.
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid will present overall information of the results of JSC and JDC examinations in a press conference at the ministry around 1:00pm.
The student can get their results from their respective exam centers and education boards, on board websites www.educationboardresults.gov.bd and through SMS from 2:00pm.
To get the results through mobile phones, candidates have to send a message to 16222 by writing JSC/JDC put space and give first three word of Education Board put another space and give Roll Number from any operator.
The examinations began on November 7 with participation of a total of 19 lakh 2746 students from the country`s 27,748 schools and madrasas. Of them, 15 lakh 87313 students are in JSC and 3 lakh 15,433 in JDC.
