The government decides to hold Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations of this year will begin on February 15.
The examination will start with Bengali first paper. A total of 20 lakh 24 thousand 192 students of nine general, madrasa and technical boards will take part in the examination.
The decision of holding the examination came from a meeting of the Law and Order Monitoring Committee on the SSC examination held at the Education Ministry today.
Education Minister Mohibul Hassan Chowdhury presided over the meeting.
According to a press notification of the Ministry of Education, it was decided at the meeting that all coaching centres will remain closed from 13 February to 12 March in order to ensure a fair, beautiful and question-leak rumour-free environment for examinations. Apart from the central secretary, no one else can use mobile phones or unauthorised electronic devices in the examination centre. He can use a normal phone without the facility of taking photographs and using the internet.
