Minister Nowfel decides not to visit SSC exam venue

Education Minister Mohibul Hassan Chowdhoury Nowfel today (February 5) decided that he won’t visit Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination centers this year to minimize students’ anxiety.

He made this decision thinking about the students' psychological pressure during his visit.

A press release was issued by the ministry underscoring the minister’s concern for the students, stress and public inconvenience.

Nowfel pointed out the “harassment situation and mental agony” that his presence might cause, exacerbating the challenges students already face during this critical examination period.

He also expressed his commitment to prioritising the well-being of examinees over traditional inspection practices.

The disruption caused by such visits, including delayed entry of students into examination centers, was also a key concern cited by the minister.

He took the opportunity to remind the public and officials of the legal framework governing access to examination halls, emphasising that “only the designated centre inspector is allowed entry into the exam hall,” as per existing regulations.
