The Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police is monitoring the ongoing situation on the BUET campus, said DB Chief Harun-Or-Rashid.

He was talking to the reporters at his office in the capital on Sunday (March 31).

Various banned organisations are conspiring on the BUET campus under the banner of a movement, he said, adding the incumbent President of Bangladesh Islami Chhatrashibir is also a student at BUET. 

When asked whether the DB has any information regarding this, the DB chief said, "We are closely monitoring the situation. Our team is present and actively investigating the matter. Legal actions will be taken following the completion of the investigation."

No one was arrested in connection so far, he added.
