The government has postponed all academic activities in schools, colleges, madrasas and polytechnic institutes for an indefinite period from Thursday amid countrywide quota reform movement.

A circular in this regard was issued today (July 16) by the Ministry of Education said that the decision has been taken 'for the sake of the overall security and safety of the students.

The ministry came up with the announcement as at least six people died in clashes among the police, quota protesters and the activists of Bangladesh Chattra League countrywide.
