DHAKA: State Minister for home affairs Asaduzzaman Khan gave assurance of recovery of two occupied halls of Jahangirnagar University and will hand over to the authority.
The state minister came up with the assurance when a 20-member teachers’ team met him at his secretariat office at 1:00pm.
The teachers submitted a memorandum to realize their eight-point demands including recovery of Abdur Rahman Hall and Shaheed Shahbuddin Hall illegally occupied by police, removal of Kotwali thana officer-in-charge Moniruzzaman and construction of new hall.
Asaduzzaman Khan said that with the help of ministry of land, the two halls will be recovered soon and hand over to the University.
And after investigation, proper steps will be taken against the involved people who attacked on demonstrating teachers and students, he added.
