DHAKA: Daffodil International University (DIU), one of the leading private universities of the country, has organized the maiden National Career Fair with a view to generating employment for a large number of young, skilled and talented graduates.
The daylong fair will start at 9:00am on March 6 and run till 6:00pm at Bangabandhu International Conference Center in city.
The Dean of Business Studies and Finance of the university Dr M Zakir Hossain, also convener of the fair, came up with the disclosure at the National Press Club on Saturday.
A total of 125 stalls will be set at the fair. Over 100 Corporate Offices along and 20 public and private universities will participate in the fair.
Besides, this some 5,000 registered and another 5,000 unregistered graduates are likely to be gathered to seek suitable jobs in the fair.
M Zakir Hossain further said that the fair would be a perfect place both for employers and job seekers to interact more closely.
The candidates will be able to match their jobs with their desirable ones.
In such way the companies will be able to pick up the exact, proficient and beneficiary persons to meet organizational goal, he added.
However, the instant interview, training and workshops, prizing to the skilled candidates will be the major events of the fair.
The Director (Administration) of the university M Imran Hossain and Coordinator of DIU Development Center Syed Maruf Reza were present, among others, at the conference.
