DHAKA: A seminar on ‘Public Health Education in Medical Career’ was held at ‘Chattagram Maa-Shishu O General Hospital’ on Tuesday, said a press release.
The seminar was organized by one of the pioneers in public health in private sector in Bangladesh ‘State University of Bangladesh (SUB).
Dr Nawzia Yasmin, Associate Professor & Head, Department of Public Health of the university presided over the seminar.
Professor ASM Fazlul Karim, President, Executive Committee, Chattagram Maa-Shishu O General Hospital, Major General (retd) Dr M Shahjahan, Treasurer, State University of Bangladesh and M Rezaul Karim, General Secretary (In-charge), Chattagram Maa-Shishu O General Hospital graced the seminar.
Professor Dr Harun-Ar-Rashid, Director, Research and International Collaboration, SUB delivered the keynote in this seminar. Dr M Nurul Haque Director In-charge (Admin) ‘Chattagram Maa Shishu O General Hospital’ facilitated the seminar.
Participant mentioned that despite considerable progress achieved in health sector, higher incidences of communicable and non-communicable diseases is still a concern for Bangladesh.
Imparting knowledge on public health, sharing of experience and best practice may serve a qualitative improvement in health sector in this country.
