DHAKA: Post, Telecommunication and Information Ministry Secretary M Najrul Islam on Monday said all the books of class I to class X will be transformed to multimedia versions for the benefit of students.
He made the disclosure in a seminar titled ‘e-payment system for SME’, arranged by SME Foundation in the city in afternoon.
Najrul Islam also said, “It takes two to three days to complete a book while a movie needs two to three hours. Besides, students can remember by watching and listening to movies than by reading books.”
“This is why, we have opted for multimedia versions of all the books from Class I to Class X,” he added.
Secretary also said government has signed an accord with BRAC and another one will be signed with Cambrian to implement the initiative.
With Managing Director of SME Foundation Dr Syed M Ihsanul Karim in the chair, Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank Abul Quashem and Deputy Managing Director of DBBL Abul Quashem Shirin among others were present in the programme.
