DHAKA: Admission in Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) courses for the session 2014-15 will start from May 28 and the classes will start from July 1.
The decision came from a meeting, with Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid in the chair, at secretariat on Thursday.
Dhaka Education Board Chairman Professor Taslima Begum confirmed the matter to banglanews.
The last date of admission without late fee is June 30 and with late fee July 22, she added.
Professor Taslima Begum also said the colleges that are entitled to admit more than 300 students must take measures to complete admission proceedings through online.
She also said the colleges must admit students on online if the number crosses 500.
Price of admission form has been fixed to Tk 120.
80 percent seats will be open for the students of the divisional town of the concerned college while the colleges can admit 10 percent students according to their choices.
Three percent seats of the rest 10 percent will be kept reserved for the students outside of divisional town, five percent for freedom fighter quota and two percent seats for the children of the officials of education ministry, teachers and officers of educational institutions and governing body members.
